I haven't posted anything interesting lately. I cheated and stuck a "happy birthday dylan" entry in today because I didn't post it last week like a "good mommy" would have! ;-)
So, Tammy came in town last week and Shelbea tried out for the Select Soccer team...she made it and got on the "A" team, which is apparently a much better team than the "B" team. She was very excited...and we were all excited for her. Tammy had a couple interviews and was offered a job that same day. They have friends in the property management business and were able to put a deposit down on a nice house in the suburbs, in a good school district. So, the move is on...Tammy and Shelbea will be here Friday with mattresses to sleep on and their clothes. Tammy will start her new job on Monday..and Larry and his brother, Rob will be here next week with the rest of the furnishings. I guess Shelbea will be hanging out with us while Tammy works, until school starts. My kids will love that...Kyle not so much, I imagine!
We had Dylan's b-day party last Tuesday night...Tammy, Larry, and Shelbea were here, as well as Dad, Lola, Amelia, mom and Tony. We ordered pizza and had cake and ice cream. It was really a nice time and Dylan enjoyed it.
Wednesday night, I couldn't leave work fast enough..I was so excited to have the next few days OFF! Mom and I went for pedicures and I got the cutest flower on my big toes. CUTE!!
On Thursday...Dylan's actual b-day, we headed down to GA for my cousins wedding. Dylan and I went with dad, Lola, and Amelia. Amelia stayed in our hotel room and it was actually a nice time. The wedding was beautiful and it was very nice seeing my family that I haven't seen in several years. I was close enough to Cindy, that she came and picked Dylan and I up and took us to her house for a few hours for a nice visit. It was so good to see her and I am glad we squeezed in a visit...I told her that it would just be stupid to be in GA and NOT see each other! LOL We headed home on Sunday and I had Monday off..it was so nice not having to work...I'm glad I thought to take it off.
Monday, we took the kids to Clifton Gorge to walk the nature trail and then to Youngs Dairy for lunch and to feed the goats. When we got home, we walked down to moms house and Kyle cleaned out her gutters. BLECK!
Tuesday was back to work for me..as much as I hated to go. Tuesday night we went to Tony's work for the final American Idol night. He placed 3rd and as a prize..is going to the American Idol concert when it comes to Colombus in August. Afterwards, we went to Friendlys for ice cream. My kids were NUTSO and I couldn't WAIT to get them home and in bed. I felt like I had run a marathon after dealing with them. They can be SUCH PAINS sometimes!!
Ok..I think that gets me caught up...so I can feel like less of a slacker. Of course I have pics I need to post..and I'll get to it at some point. Hopefully, sooner rather than later!!

Retro-blogging
I haven't made a blog entry in 13 days! That's nuts. I was doing so much better too.
You know WHY I haven't?!? aside from the fact that I spend my life being lazy and tired when I'm not working, of course.
My nails were too long to type without a million mistakes! LOL seriously! they had gotten SO long and I would always hit the wrong keys so I tried to type as little as possible since I type all day at work and the stupid backspace button was giving my middle finger a workout!
Needless to say I got my nails done one night this week. so I am a typing fool again.
I believe I learned the term "retro-blogging" from my friend Jennifer--who retro-blogged about her spur of the moment vacation to CA (from TN) with 5 kids, 5 in-laws, a baby and her hubby..most of them in one van!
So..I'll do a little retro-blogging myself. Of course I don't know what has happened in the last 13 days that is worth blogging about..I'll think of something though..I don't like big blog gaps!

My thoughts exactly
I pretend I am a good blogger and the 20 or so people that read my blog daily think I am the BOMB! Truth is..my writing pretty much sucks and is pretty boring.
I read a lot of other blogs and some of them are SO good...funny stories and well written thoughts, I lust after those blogs.
I was reading one of my favorites this morning and he writes so much better than I ever could...but it was as if his thoughts were my own. So instead of fumbling around for an hour trying to get my thoughts into a series coherent sentences. I'll just direct you to the much more entertaining version of my thoughts on John Edwards.

UPDATE: How sad is it that I was writing this and falling asleep. I woke up at 3 am and remembered I had been writing something somewhere and couldn't remember what or where!! I got out of bed and started going to all the places I post, etc. As soon as I saw this entry I remebered..whew! That was a REALLY weird feeling!

High Traffic = Big Money
I added a counter to the bottom of my blog. I like to see how many visitors I get...where they come from, what they searched for...how they found me. I'm actually a little bit obsessed with it and check on it at least 3 times a day. What?!? It makes me feel loved!! LOL
Since such a big part of my blog are my PayPerPost posts I wonder how many people are also in the PPP world..and how many people are a little curious..but haven't yet taken that plunge. Of course my counter doesn't give me specifics like that! Go figure!
I have actually been looking for ways to get more traffic to my blog so that I can take these high paying opportunities that PPP is now offering. Some of them even pay $1000!!! I just need more traffic!!!
I really wish I could convey to people how wonderful PPP is. I TRY to do that with my exciting posts (*wink*) and I really hope that I am making people interested and really want to make money blogging. I know that PPP is one of the best avenues for this type of advertising out there.
Even though I only blog about things that truly interest me...or that I feel compelled to share..I like that PPP requires all bloggers to include a disclosure policy on their blog. That way, my readers know that I DO include commercials on my site and I'm not trying to be sneaky about it.
I've said it before (several times) and I'll say it again...Check out PayPerPost today!!

Blog changes
Well, blogger finally forced me to change to the new version. I was scared and really didn't want to...I don't do well with change. LOL But I had no choice..I have spent the last hour and a half messing around with it and trying to make it pretty. I *think* I like it. What do you think?? I hope there aren't any weird settings in it that are going to mess up my PayPerPost posts--that was really my biggest fear in switching over. If there are..hopefully someone can help me fix them.
