One Hair

I think I have seen too many crime scene/police shows! I was at the bank today..waiting in line at the drive through, and started looking at my grown out bangs. One of the hairs was weird looking so I yanked it out. When I looked at the single hair I saw that it had that little root part on it. You know, the part that they use to get your DNA? After I got done inspecting it, I let it fly out the window. Then I had this thought of "what if"...what if there was a murder right there in the bank line and the crime scene investigators came out and found MY hair?!? I could be convicted of a crime I had nothing to do with!

By the time it was my turn at the window, I had the whole scenario played out in my head, the interrogation, the hearing, the jail cell..my babies growing up with NO mommy. Thank God, I got to the window when I did...who knows what would have happened to me in jail!!!

Smooth & Silky Summer

As much as I talk about wanting it to be Spring/Summer and warm, the one thing I hate about it, it is all the shaving I have to do. You know, in winter when you wear long pants..you can go a few days between shaves and no one is the wiser..except for your significant other who probably doesn't enjoy the bristley feel of your legs. Not so in the spring and summer...you gotta shave every couple of days and keep everything all smooth and pretty.

I was with Cindy last weekend (I don't think I blogged about that..I'll have to go insert a post down there and tell you all about it) and we went swimming..before I could get into my suit I had to shower and shave. What a PAIN. I couldn't just go up to my knee..NO..I had to shave all the way up..and I have long legs and fat thighs. Not a quick and easy task!

So, I shaved and got all hairless and now I have some of those stupid ingrown hairs and bumps you get..especially around the bikini (can you still call it that when you would NEVER get into a bkini??) line. It's such a pain..and something I have to look forward to ALL summer. Yay me.

I used to have some stuff called Tend Skin that really helped with ingrown hairs and stupid razor burn. I'll have to get some more. I wish I could get that hair removal laser treatment and just be done with it. Stupid hair.

Perm

I'm biting the bullet and getting a perm today. I have been wanting one for quite awhile and keep putting it off because of money...well, the lack of. We still have some of the tax return hanging out in our bank acct and I figure if I don't do it now..I'll have missed my window of opportunity. So at 12:00 today I'm going for it.

I am going to BoRics because it's so much cheaper than other places...I hope I don't regret it. The good thing is...I'm not really looking for a style...I gave up on style a few years ago. LOL My hair is always twisted up and secured with a clip with the ends sticking out...with a perm, the ends will be curly and look a little less ugly-that's the plan anyway. So, as long as I end up with curly ends and unfried roots. I'll be happy.
