Sunday Midnight

It's midnight..and I SHOULD be in bed...and here I sit watching Celebrity Fit Club on VH1 and can't stop! LOL I should record it and just go to bed already...but it's almost over. I am a reality TV junkie and am loving this show. I only know who 4 of the celebrities are but that's ok.

Tomorrow starts the work week...another week of selling diapers and dealing with issues of diaper buyers everywhere. *sigh* I really love my job, I just get tired of some of the aspects of the job. That's ok though...it keeps it interesting...it's definitely not a boring job. :) I get paid once a month and I figured out what my check should be for October (paid in November) and I am so excited. Working 40 hours/week sure makes a difference in the money coming in. 2 more checks before christmas....that's it!!

alright the husband is summoning me to bed...guess I better head that way.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

We had another wonderful Saturday...I'm loving this.

Another morning of cuddling, then I cooked breakfast, we all got showered and dressed and headed out. First stop the library, to get the 4th season of The Shield (we're loving this show lately), Next we headed back to the museum..yeah, the same one we went to 2 weeks ago. We're members there..so it's free and you just can't beat that. The boys played for a long time and got nice and warn out and then we went to Fridays for dinner. When we got home, Kyle helped Logan put a astronaut puzzle together he got from the gift shop. and then..the boysies went to sleep and Kyle and I watched 3 episodes of The Shield. It was so nice. I am looking forward to next Saturday.

Wonderful Saturday!

One of the things that has always "bothered" me about my life is that our weekends have always been very boring...just more of the same, etc. For so many years, Kyle worked 3rd shift and a LOT of overtime. So, on weekends we just stayed at home and did nothing and it's kind of just become what we do. nothing. LOL Today was different and I am just so thrilled. I have already decided that since I am working full time and the kids are in school and I am getting less time with them, that we really need to make our weekends count as far as quality time goes.

This morning I woke up with the little darlings at 6:30 and made them go back to sleep..I slept with Dylan until 7:30 and then TRIED to quietly get out of his bed and he woke up. So, we got up and had breakfast and I took a cat nap on the couch. at 10, I went in and cuddled with Kyle, we NEVER do that in the mornings so it was really nice to just spend time with each other. After that we got up and ate breakfast and then got ready to leave. We took the boys to the Museum of Natural History and checked out all the animals and the kids played on the big indoor playground and we watched a movie in the Planeterium. Then we went to Outback for dinner. They were so good and we had a really good time.

Now the boys are in bed and Kyle and I are going to watch Date Movie. I'm excited. :)

My profile picture is SO scary!! Holy...I don't even know what!!! I THOUGHT that picture ws a good one...it looks good in it's normal size...make it that small and WHOA, NELLIE!! SUH-CAAARRRRRRR-Y!!! :-) So, I need to get that changed ASAP. (Like my MAJOR use of CAPS in this entry?!?! LOL) I'll try to change that tonight when I am on the laptop where all the photos are stored....we'll see. Of course I am going to have to keep the scary one up for awhile now, because if I change it to a "good" picture and someone reads this entry and thinks that I think the "good" picture is the SUH-CAAARRY one and comments their agreement of the scariness..I'm gonna be annoyed. LOL So...maybe I'll wait a few days......

9/11

5 years ago, when the 1st tower was hit, I was on the computer checking my mail and message boards and 9 month old Logan was playing at my feet. At a little after 9, I turned off the computer, scooped up my baby and went into the living room to watch Regis and Kelly. I watched the 2nd tower get hit and then ran to the bedroom to wake up Kyle. We watched the coverage for the rest of the day. I was so glad that Logan was so young and innocent. (Dylan was conceived 2 weeks later.)

So hard to believe it has been 5 years. We watched the anniversary coverage all day today. NBC replayed their coverage of 9/11. It was like living it all over again. Even though I KNEW what was going to happen...the fear in the pit of my stomach was still there. I watched, I cried, I remembered.

We will never forget.

It's the little things!

Before my trip to TX at the end of July, I got acrylic nails put on. It was spur of the moment and a splurge. I had them filled in about 3 weeks ago and wasn't real impressed with the place I went...I wasn't THAT thrilled with the orignial place either. So, today mom and I went to get our nails done and decided to check out this new place right up the street. Oh my gosh, I am SOOOO glad we went there. The girl did an awesome job..AWESOME! I love love love my nails. I also ended up getting a pedicure (mom's treat) and it was probably THE BEST pedicure I have ever had.

Doogie..

Ever Watch Doogie Howser? Every night at the end of the show...it closed with Doogie typing in his journal. I should be that way. I should close every night of my life with a blog entry. It would take very little time and it would keep me from feeling like such a blgger loser. I'm going to try REALLY hard to do that. We'll see how long it lasts!! :)

Big changes here lately. Logan started Kindergarten and Dylan started pre-school. Just when I was SO excited to have alone time on MWF (Dylans school days) I got "promoted" to full time at work. No relaxing alone time for me. Instead I will be spending MY alone time helping the parents of the world with their diaper purchases! Not that I'm complaining...I'm NOT..I'm just saying is all!!

In the mood...

I have been kind of "blah" lately and really busy..and just not in the mood to blog. I think I am getting IN the mood again. I'm sure my faithful readers will be so pleased. :-)

Logan starts school next week and I am very excited, as is he. We go to orientation tomorrow morning so he can meet his teacher and see his room, etc. I think we might go to breakfast afterwards. I haven't been "sad" at all thinking about him going to Kindy...I'm really looking forward to the quiet. LOL the last couple of days though I have been getting little "pangs" of worry...worry that he will make friends, worry that he won't like it, etc etc. I know in my head he will be just fine, but in my heart, I worry.

Dylan starts pre-school 2 days after Labor Day. I'm REALLY looking forward to that, since I will have 3 days with no children. LOL Dylan is already used to the teachers and the school since Logan went there last year, and he is very outgoing and kinda beats to his own drum..so I'm not worried about him fitting in or making friends. I AM worried that they will kick him out though. LOL he is a bundle of energy and talks about poop & pee all the time and has no interst in learning anything...it should be interesting. I'm not so sure he will be ready to go to Kindy next year..but maybe.

Work is going well. My hours have been upped to 20 hours a week. Not too bad considering I was hired 6 months ago to work 8 hours a week. The business is growing steadily and I am excited about my future with them.

Kyle is in the process of interviewing and testing for a job. he went yesterday and passed all the tests and received a contingent offer of employment. Next step is physical and background check. We are keeping our fingers crossed that everything falls into place and he has a job soon.

We have become a foster family for labs. We got out first (and probably last) dog on Wednesday. He is a 10 mo. old male yellow lab. Jack, our dog..hates him and it is almost constant barking, fighting, growling, etc. Hence the reason this dog will probably be our last foster. LOL it's really been quite a pain., I love the Lab, "Kane" though. LOVE him. If he and Jack could get along..I think we would have to keep him. he is super smart, he already knows his new name, is potty trained, and goes into his crate like a champ. We have taught him SIT and LAY just since he has been here. He loves my kids and is so good with them. he even loves Jack. jack is just a little brat-face.

So, in a nutshell that is the lastest with us. :)

Busy month

The month started out with us going to TN to visit the in-laws. The kids had a wonderful time. Angela and her family were there and the boys LOVE their cousins so it was nice to have time with them. After leaving there, we headed to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge to vacation with our friends...the same ones we vacation with every summer. This was our 4th year and we had a wonderful time as usual. I am looking forward to next summer already!! :) I am leaving in a couple days to go to TX with my mom. We will be visiting my sister and going to my nieces pageant. I am so excited and can't wait to see them. While I'm gone K and the boys will head back down to TN to help my MIL with some yard work and tree cutting down she needs done.

Conversations with Logan and Dylan

Walking into the bathroom....

Me: Move Dylan, mommy has to go potty.

Dylan: Dylan has to go potty.

Me: Well, Dylan is going to have to wait because mommy has to go REALLY bad.

Dylan: Ok (big pause) you wanna have a pee race?

Sitting on the couch with Logan, he is watching tv and I am doing something on the computer.

Logan: Mom, who made this house?

Me: hmmm???

Logan: Who made this house?

Me: I don't know, sweetie.

Logan: MOMMMMMMMMMMMM, who made this house? Jesus???

Me: no, it wasn't Jesus..I know that. (LOL)

Logan: Who was it then?

Me: I don't know..some house builder person.

Logan: You mean a CONSTRUCTION worker??

Me: yes, a construction worker.

Logan: ok

LAZY, lazy weekend!!

We have had THE. LAZIEST. WEEKEND. EVER! LOL I picked up season 4 of 24 at the library this past week so we have been watching it off and on all weekend. We watch a little, feed the kids, watch a little more, talk to kids, watch a little more, feed the kids again, watch a little more...play with the kids. You get the idea. It's been so nice....the house is trashed, but it's still been nice. :)

We leave for vacation in a couple weeks. We are heading to the inlaws for a few days and then to meet up with some of my very good girlfriends and their families. these are the same friends we have vacationed with for the last 3 years (this will be year number 4!) We always have SO much fun and I am really looking forward to being with them again.

In the meantime...I'm working and Amelia is here 3 days a week (MWF). We had a garage sale last weekend and will have it again next weekend and I'm selling stuff on ebay...all to make money for vacation. I have to do this every year since we never have money...but it works. LOL

Dylan turned FOUR on the 21st. I can't belive my BABY is FOUR! He'll be in pre-school this year and Logan will be in Kindergarten. my babies are almost grown! WAH! LOL For Dylans b-day we went to the free family movie in the morning and then met my mom and her husband and my dad and his wife and amelia at chick-fil-a. the kids played and we ate and had cake and dylan got a couple gifts. It was so nice and I threw the idea together the night before. LOL

Mice. Our stupid mice are on their FOURTH litter of babies!!! Can you believe that?!?! I am so annoyed. I think we are going to get rid of ALL of them. I'd rather have another dog than these mice that we can;t figure out the sexes of and that make babies non stop. the fourth litter was born yesterday and while I find the whole baby thing VERY cute and amazing and LOVE to watch them..I am really tired of the baby mouse thing. but the babies are cute..so will endure this litter until they are weaned and then they are OUTTA HEAH! ;-)

I've had a 9 lb weight loss. I would LOVE to lose 9 more before our vaca but I know thats not gonna happen..wishful thinking. really..i'm just proud that I have been sticking to it...AND exercising to boot! yay me!!

I think that gets me caught up...for now.

Not a bad week

After we got through last weekend...life with Amelia hasn't been too bad. The getting up early sucked and having her LIE to me one day was bad. But all in all..she has been ok. Dad & Lola get home Sunday...so we are in the final stretch of her stay.

I started dieting on Monday..I'm doing WW...and I have done SO well. I am really, really proud of me. In addition to eating really well, I have done some form of exercise everyday since tuesday. Today..I did a few stretches and planned to take the day off. we ended up going on a spur of the moment "Treasure Hunt" , taking a 2 1/2 mile hike in the process! We were BEAT and I am just a tinge burnt..but I look healthy. We had fun!

Kyle and I hardly know what to do with ourselves since the tv season is over. We're going to be burning up the postal service with movies going back and forth to Netflix. Recently we have seen Fun with Dick & Jane and Flightplan. tomorrow night we'll be watching A History of Violence. Sunday night we MIGHT take the kids to see Cars at the drive-in.

Tomorrow...

UGH. In the morning, I have to be up by 6:30 to get Amelia up for school. We have to leave here no later than 7:10. YIKES! Since I will already be up and out..I am going to go ahead and do my grocery shopping. fun fun. BLECK. I am REALLY dreading it!!

Tomorrow also starts day one of my diet....again. 5 weeks until my Gatlinburg trip, 7 weeks until my TX trip. I dug out my exercise videos and made a grocery list full of healthy foods. In 5 weeks, I BETTER be a little lighter and a little more toned!! I actually "bench pressed" Logan tonight!! He is right at 50 pounds..maybe a little less. I did 10 reps and my arms were shaking. I was SO impressed with myself! LOL

After the grocery shopping..I am going to come home and make a bunch of phone calls. Logan's school, the board of education, ins co., dr, pediatrician, consignment shop, dentist, eye dr.

After all the calls are made, I am going to work on more garage sale stuff. I got the front closet all cleaned out and the kids toys cleaned out and brought a load of stuff up from the basement..everything has been cleaned, tagged, priced, sorted and stacked nicely in the front closet waiting for Thursday--SALE DAY!! So, I'll work on more of that until I have to go to work at 2. After work...I think I'll sit on my rear and do nothing for the rest of the evening.

Tuesday morning, it will all start again at 6:30.

Yeah..this is gonna be a FUUUUNNNN week!!! LOL

Rain

Happy Friday! It's raining here. Rained all night. I was at the grocery when it started..had to go out to my car and load the groceries in a DOWNPOUR..had to wade through a flooded parking lot to get to my car. Had to drive through flooded streets to get home...good times, I tell ya!!

I am feeling emotionally better today, thank god. I hate when I feel like I did yesterday. We watched Fun with Dick and Jane last night. It was really good. We both enjoyed it.

My dad and step-mom are bringing their daughter (Amelia) over tonight. She will be staying with us until next sunday. Dad and Lola are taking a vacation and heading west....I am so jealous. I hope they have a wonderful time. amelia is an um....*difficult* child. She has some issues and makes us a little nuts while she is here. So, it should be an interesting 10 days. My plan is to keep her busy with helping me get stuff ready for a garage sale I am having next weekend. I am weeding through lots and lots and lots of STUFF and selling everything. All the money I make will go towards our trip to TN in July and my trip to TX at the end of July. hopefully, I make lots and lots of money!!!

I got some WONDERFUL news from a WONDERFUL friend of mine. I am absolutely thrilled for her. Congrats, my friend!!! xoxo

Aggravated

Ever have one of those days where you are just aggravated/annoyed/on edge/pissed off for no apparent reason. that's how I am today and it's not even 10 am yet. My poor husband and kids. I bet they can't wait for me to go to work. Hopefully, working for 4 hours will help my attitude. shyeah!

Magi

This is Dylan's imaginary friend, Magi. He loves the movie "Fern Gully" and talks about Maji ALL the time. I took him shopping for shoes while we were in TN a couple weeks ago and he wanted these spiderman sandals. I kept telling him that we were not getting those sandals..we were getting THESE sandals. He picked up the box, put it in the cart and said., "Magi says I can get them!" LOL And Kyle told me that he was pushing dylan on the swing in the backyard last week and Dylan wanted him to push "magi" too. lol

When I was Dylan's age I had an imaginary husband. His name was Dick. and evidently, when I was done with him, I told my mom that he died in the fire with John Dixon--a character from my mom's soap "Young and the Restless". LOL

Much better

Logan is feling MUCH MUCH better..thank god. I felt so terrible for him..he was having stupid dry heaves..and we all know how horrible it is to be throwing up, when there is nothing left TO throw up! YUCK! I have phenergan suppositories in my fridge, so I called the ped to ask if I could give him 1/2 of one. She said that I could give him a 1/4. I told him that I had medicine that would make him feel much better, but that since he was throwing up, he couldn't take it through his mouth...that I had to put it in his bottom. He looked and me like I was crazy and then gave a little laugh, like he thought I was joking. LOL Poor thing. But he took it like a champ and barely flinched. He threw up one more time after that...then took a nice long nap and has been fine since.

My visit with Rita was very nice. She got to my moms about 2:30 and we ate around 4 and they left at 8. We talked and laughed and had a very enjoyable time. She then came back for a couple hours today and we are going to meet for lunch tomorrow on their way out of town. The pic at the top is of her and Logan and Avery, today.

Pukey McPukerson

Logan started throwing up this morning and is quite miserable. :( My friend rita just got into town last night with Avery. NO WAY can he be around Logan. So..I guess we will hang out down the street at my moms house today and stay away from the germies.

Mom was having us for dinner (stuffed shells) anyway, so she will just have company a bit sooner! I called and told her and she told me I need to come down and dust the furniture and sweep the floor. hmmph! At least I don't have to finish cleaning MY house. LOL

Guess I better run...

Summer changes

Today was Logan's last day of school so we are officially on summer break!! yahoo!!

The picnic and "program" at the school was SO nice and Logan brought home folders of his work throughout the year and several art projects and the teacher gave all the parents photo albums full of pics of their child throughout the year. VERY NICE!!

I went to Target last night to get Mrs. K's gift. I bought a straw tote and filled it with flip flops, sunglasses, a paperback, sunscreen, chapstick, and 2 "survival kits"--1 insect and 1 sunburn. I I hope she likes it..I liked it real well!! LOL

For the summer (and maybe longer depending on how it goes...) we've moved both boys into one room and turned the other bedroom into a play room. We are actually still in the process of getting it all switched. (I'm taking a break) I have cleaned out all the toys, wiped down walls, wiped down furniture, helped move the beds..and I'm tired!! Hopefully, we don't regret this..I am hoping the little darlings will get along well.

Of course...doing all this, we are neglecting doing the cleaning we SHOULD be doing for rita's visit!! SO...it's gonna be a late night. I don't *think* it will take long..the kitchen and bathroom are clean...the living room is kinda trashed. but with K and I both working on it..it shouldn't take too long.

Kyle passed the test. ya-hoo! He accepted a contingent offer of employment and is now awaiting the next step. As much as I would LOVE him to get a job..and as much as he NEEDS to get a job..I am hoping it doesn't mess with our July vacation plans...or the plans I made to go visit my sister at the end of July. If he could start work august 1 that would ROCK!

I guess my break time has come to an end..and the darlings are begging for food...

Good Grief!!!

Long time no post, huh? almost a month..sad, sad, sad!!! **hanging my head in shame**

Logan lost his first "supposed to" tooth today. He lost his 2 top front teeth last summer after getting hurt..so those don't REALLy count (even though the fairy thought they did ;)) and today lost his bottom front left..the right will be a few days behind, I think. He is very excited for the TF to come and I am excited to BE her. :) He looks pretty cute with his "non-tooth" smile.

This is L's last week of school...tomorrow I am going to the school to help, it's a cleaning day...should be tons of fun. NOT! Friday is the last day and they have a fmaily picnic to celebrate...I am taking macaroni salad.

Rita, Alan, & Avery will be here this weekend. I need to come up with some cheap food ideas so i can keep them fed. We were in TN last week so I got to see Avery then..he is as precious as can be. I can't wait to see him again.

I've been working as much as possible lately..I wish my hours would get increased so I could count on that much money every month.

K has an interview..well, a qualifying test..not an interview yet. Hopefully, he will do really well and be called back to go through the rest of the process.

oh..my life is boring and I am tired. I'm going to bed.
